If you could change one important thing in your country, what would you change

he Earth is changing so fast that we  have to do our best  to catch up with modernization and at the same point we should keep our identity as one of the most ancient nations of humanity. Of course, we need to make our country better but never forget our precious traditions and culture. If I could change one important thing about my country, I would like to make a very unique mix of old and new traditions to get a special type of culture which would put an emphasis both on old and new ones. We should appreciate all the old traditions that come from centuries and prove to everyone that the unity of a nation is based on keeping and valuing culture.
Culture and its heritage reflect and shape values, beliefs, and aspirations, thereby defining a people’s national identity. It’s important to preserve our cultural heritage, because it keeps our integrity as  people.
Unfortunately, nowadays the new generation doesn’t really care about the cultural heritage they have. Let’s discuss some cases when we face such kinds of problems.
Every year 6 year old kids go to school first, but due to the results most of them have got difficulties of communication simply in Armenian. They have big difficulties making speech patterns because of the lack of active vocabulary of Armenian, but at the same time they are pretty good at English and Russian.
Or we may even confer about teenagers and the youth who deny using our native language as in their point of view, it’s kind of out of date or just a waste of time. For the new generation Armenian is just a language which still exists but no one needs it. Everyone does their best to learn foreign languages and gets the opportunity to leave their homeland to have a better life.
Therefore, I think we should cooperate  with the government and create a strategic plan for increasing the value and use of the Armenian language all over the country and diaspora. That would be the first step for preserving Armenian not only as an ancient language but also as our official language. Armenians as a nation will exist as long as our language is alive.
